Me

Welcome to my LiveJournal! :D

This is my humble, little space on the web. Everything and anything that comes to my mind, eventually finds it way here, turning this journal into a quite realistic depiction of my real life (a.k.a. a mess XD)

My name is Nadia and I was born in 1981 (do your Maths :P). I live in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and I’m currently studying to become a professor of Spanish Language and Literature. I’m mostly easygoing and don’t take myself too seriously, which allows me to see the fun side to almost every situation. However, I can also be hot-tempered and moody, but then again... who isn’t? :P

Another important fact: my native language is Spanish, and all I know of English has been self-taught over the years, so please bear with any mistakes you may find here. :)

Have you seen ’The Simpsons – The Movie’? Remember the moment Lisa meets this cute Irish little boy named Colin and can’t help but squeal in delight? Don’t ask why, but the moment I saw that, I instantly felt that was me. XD

Friending Policy.

To start off with, I must say that I don’t necessarily have a friending policy. In the beginning I would friend anyone who friended me, but now I’ve become a tiny little bit more selective: for me to friend you, we must have something in commn. Clear enough? :D I won’t demand you to comment to each and every single entry I make, but a sign of life every now and then would be nice. :)

Lately, reading for the pure pleasure of it has taken a back seat to compulsory reading for my studies, and believe me... there's a lot of it! *groans*

Writing

I love writing! :D I’m a bit *coughhugecough* of a procrastinator and it takes ages for me to write something, but that doesn’t mean it stops me. When, at the age of 18, I discovered this little thing called fan fiction through a Westlife site, I was lost. Finally something that made a lot of sense for someone with so many plotbunnies bouncing in her head! :D Ever since, I’ve written stories for fandoms such as Westlife and Orlando Bloom (the link to those stories can be found at the bottom of the user info), and I have plans for stories involving Duran Duran. There are also a couple of ideas for more serious projects, but they still need some tweaking. ;)

Football

I was a huge football fan when I was 15-16, but then my interest waned with the years and other interests came in. However, come the World Cup 2006, that love was rediscovered full force, along with the main attraction: the players.
