I'm not doing it. *is VERY angry*
I'm definitely NOT supporting Argentina's team for this Copa América. I kind of refused not to support them, but damn... Basile gave me the perfect excuse not to care about this team anymore. Or at least until he leaves.

Fernando Gago - *throws up* Sorry, Bill! Can't you take him home with you and NEVER let him come out again??? XDDDDD
Juan Sebastián Verón - Jesus Christ, what have we done to deserve this???? Has everyone suddenly forgotten how he purposedly played HORRIBLY against England in Korea/ Japan??
Juan Román Riquelme - Someone please shot me. NOW.

I just can't help but think in the days when Daniel Pasarella was the coach and EVERYONE dissed him for taking too many River Plate players to the team. I guess that now that Basile is doing the exact same thing with Boca, there's no discussion. Bastards. I hate this team. *ARGH*

By the way, can someone please kick Frank's ass for me?? He's eating half my comment notifications AGAIN and they're not even showing up in my comment inbox.

The suffering has officialy begun.
Well, after a traumatic, agonic, and long macth against Mexico in the World Cup, Argentina won! Everyone has gone crazy here, and judging by what I can see on TV, everywhere in the country is the same. :D I don't remember suffering so much watching our team since... the first game against Ivory Coast. LOL

Now, as it is usual with out national team, we're gonna suffer for the rest of the games for as long as we stay in the World Cup. Our next game is against the host, Germany *insert suspense music here*. Only God knows what's gonna happen against them on July 1st... *Twilight Zone music*

ARGENTINA WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEHAAAAAAA!!!!!

It took 52 years, but the country finally got a gold medal - again. The football team beat Paraguay 1-0 just hours ago turning the whole country upside down, mainly because we had to get up at 4AM to watch the game. :)

Actually, I planned not to go to bed last night and stay up to watch the game. I dusted off some old videos I had that I hadn't seen in ages (like the BSB concert in Buenos Aires back in 1998) and everything was going fine until about 2AM. I just HAD to go to bed then. I knew I would only sleep for about two hours and that it would be worst than staying up, but what the hell!

So I went to bed. It took me like half an hour to fall asleep and by the time I did, my mom, who couldn't sleep any longer because she was way too anxious, got up. Oh, I must point out: my family really loves football. My dad played in amateur teams all his life, my brother played when he was younger but left if once my dad died and even my mom played football when she was younger *LOL*.

Mom got up at 3AM, Mauro came home around that time after visiting his girlfriend and obviously, they woke me up. I couldn't got back to sleep, so after sleeping only half an hour, I got up to watch the game.

Now, I should explain what getting up at such an unhealthy hour does to me. My blood pressure was low and I had an upset stomach for the first 45 minutes until I finally got up to make a cup of tea (with lots of sugar). The next 45 minutes I could clearly feel how my blood pressure went up and down until it balanced itself, but even after going back to bed at 7AM, I'm still quite dizzy. The things you do for a football match... *shakes head*

Now, to celebrate, some pics of the team. Oh, and now we can win another gold medal in basketball if we beat Italy in two hours. We beat the US! *grins*
