"I'm missing something... I even forgot what I used to watch on TV at this time of the day"!
Those are my mum's words, a little while before I left for work.
And it's true. Damn, your life is based on football for a month and all of a sudden, you have to go back to the local championship. No way! LOL It's quite depressing to think about it, actually. *sigh* No more spectacular stadiums, no more thrilling games, goodbye to the colourful people breathing life and happiness into the event... I better stop or I'll cry! LOL
What are my feelings about this World Cup? It was incredibly well organized. Loved it. And made me feel even further away from the rest of the world. :) I also loved what I got to see of Germany on TV. Lovely cities, beautiful landscapes, historical places that must feel overwhelming when you visit them... Anyone has a spare room in Germany so I can go and visit? :D LOL
What I wasn't so pleased about? Italy winning. Initially I thought that, with all the legal problems concerning their league, they wouldn't go too far. It was such a surprise for me they got to the final... And it was a bittersweet feeling when they eliminated Germany. On one hand, I was happy because Germany had defeated Argentina, but on the other hand, even if I love Alex Del Piero with all my heart, I didn't want Italy to win. But they did. And they even won the Cup. Meh. I guess I'm gonna scratch that game from my memory and pretend Germany won the final against Portugal. LOL
Argentina... It was nice while it lasted.
And now, to the important stuff about the World Cup: the hunks. LOL
Just when I thought I had seen it all, Germany and Sweden came to knock me off my feet. Alexandersson, Mellberg, Wilhemsson... What a pity the didn't last longer!
As for Germany... DANKE DEUTSCHLAND! LOL I have to check if we still get the Bundesliga games live through any of the sports channels here - I am NOT missing any chance of drooling over a sweaty Torsten Frings and a very hot Timo Hildebrand! Which reminds me... I'm off to making some colorbars of these two hunks! :D
